Hewitt Molding Company applies our high speed CNC machining capabilities to a wide range of materials to create various medical components. Our Makino S56 high speed vertical machining center features a table travel of 35.4" x 19.7", with Z-axis travel of 17.7". The table load is rated for 1,325 lbs., and the 20 station tool changer allows us to machine these medical pieces using drilling, grinding, boring, grooving, and threading. Interferometer Positional

The CNC machining center also boasts accuracy to ±0.00060" and repeatability to ±0.00040", and is equipped with a Blum Laser System. Working to tolerances as tight as ±0.0002", we can manufacture metal medical components from alloy steels, aluminum, beryllium, brass, bronze alloys, and carbon steel, as well as plastic pieces with nylon, phenolic, or thermoplastic construction.
